School of Agro-Industry Hosts “International Short Course 2025” to Promote Sustainable Food Systems and Cultural Exchange with Japanese Students The School of Agro-Industry, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), successfully organized the “International Short Course Program 2025: Sustainable Food Systems & Cultural Discovery” from 4–13 August 2025. The event was officially opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suttiwan Seeta, Dean of the School of Agro-Industry, and was supported by a dedicated organizing team led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thammarat Pranomkrich, 
the program chair, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Rungarun Sasanatieng and Asst. Prof. Dr. Natthaya Khonsue, who served as activity coordinators.

The program welcomed 21 international students from three leading Japanese universities—Chiba University, University of Tsukuba, and Kagoshima University. Participants engaged in a comprehensive curriculum focusing on sustainable food systems, postharvest technologies, and herbal product development. The course was delivered over 14 days, comprising 4 days of online learning followed by 10 days of hands-on experience at MFU.

In addition to academic enrichment, the program featured vibrant cultural exchange activities, offering students a meaningful cross-cultural learning experience. The initiative also aimed to strengthen academic collaboration between Thailand and Japan, marking another important step toward MFU’s commitment to expanding its international network and global academic presence.
