Workshop on “Carbon Credits and Greenhouse Gas Reduction Approaches”

On 25–26 April 2026, the School of Agro-Industry, in collaboration with the Mae Fah Luang University Technology Clinic Network, organized a workshop entitled “Carbon Credits and Greenhouse Gas Reduction Approaches” at Room 516, 5th Floor, General Sampao Chusri Building (E4), Mae Fah Luang University. The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge, understanding, and practical approaches regarding carbon footprint management and greenhouse gas reduction.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. Phunsiri Sutthilak, who delivered the opening remarks. The workshop also received the honor of having Assoc.Prof.Dr. Songkert Phattarapattamawong  as the keynote speaker. He provided valuable insights into the concept of carbon footprints, types and boundary determination, as well as basic carbon footprint calculation methods, covering both theoretical knowledge and practical applications.

In addition, participants attended a knowledge-sharing session on “The Process of Carbon Footprint Certification Application” presented by Mr. Chamnan Suksaisaiboon from Nongyao Foods Products Limited Partnership. The session offered practical experiences and operational guidance beneficial to the participants.

On the second day of the workshop, participants engaged in an experience-sharing session on carbon footprint operations conducted by the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage (Doi Tung). The session highlighted practical operational approaches and real-world experiences that could be effectively adapted and applied.

The workshop atmosphere was highly engaging and filled with active participation from attendees. Participants exchanged ideas and experiences related to environmental impact reduction, contributing significantly to the development of knowledge and sustainable practices for the future.
