Categories: Agro-ข่าวล่าสุด Agro-กิจกรรมนานาชาติDuring 17–23 May 2026, the School of Agro-Industry, Mae Fah Luang University, in collaboration with the Tea and Coffee Institute of Mae Fah Luang University, organized the “Mae Fah Luang (MFU) International Mobility Program 2026” to welcome 13 faculty members and students from Oklahoma State University, USA, in Chiang Rai Province, Thailand.
The program was conducted under the theme “Thailand Tea Discovery: From Leaf to Legacy” with the objective of promoting the exchange of knowledge on tea, Thai culture, and traditions through both classroom-based and experiential learning activities.
The program was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Pansiri Sutthilak together with Assistant Professor Dr. Piyaporn Chuemchaijittrakul and the organizing team, who collaboratively designed intensive and engaging learning activities related to Thai tea culture and industry.
In addition, the program was honored by the participation of Associate Professor Dr. Amnat Khaokhrueamuang from the School of Management and Information at the University of Shizuoka, Japan, who delivered a special lecture and shared experiences related to tea and cultural exchange.
Representatives from Oklahoma State University, led by Prof. Dr. Richard Coffey, Associate Professor Dr. Ravi Jadeja, and Ms. Arakssi Arshakian, together with participating students, actively joined the activities in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Throughout the seven-day program, participants explored various aspects of Thai tea through a wide range of activities, including visits to tea plantations and tea factories, food and tea workshops, learning about the local way of life in Doi Mae Salong communities, as well as cultural excursions to important landmarks in Chiang Rai Province such as Wat Rong Khun (White Temple), Wat Rong Suea Ten (Blue Temple), and other notable attractions.
The program served as a valuable platform for strengthening relationships between Thai and international students while fostering meaningful exchanges of knowledge, culture, and international experiences.
