Visit and research collaboration between Prince of Songkla University and Kasetsart University Under the Visiting Professor Reinventing University System 2023 from 22-24 November 2023.

Activity 1 Research and development cooperation in packaging for the transportation of fresh produce
On November 21, 2023, Dr. Pramod V. Mahajan, Senior Scientist and Group Leader at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) in Potsdam, Germany, along with Associate Professor Dr. Saowapa, Assistant Professor Dr. Rattapol Sangrayap, and lecturers from the School of Information Technology—who are members of the Integrated Ecosystem Research Group of Agriculture and Technology (IATE)—met with Associate Professor Dr. Vanee Chonhenchob and Assistant Professor Dr. Pattarin Leelapiwat, a lecturer from the Department of Packaging and Materials Technology in the Faculty of Agro-Industry at Kasetsart University. The purpose of the meeting was to establish research and development cooperation in packaging for the transportation of fresh produce.
Activity 2 Collaboration on research and teaching in agriculture and post-harvest technology
From November 22 to 24, 2023, the research team held a meeting with Associate Professor Dr. Chaiyawan Wattanachan, the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Resources at Prince of Songkla University. Also present were Associate Professor Dr. Naris Thaochan, the Deputy Dean for Research, Innovation, and Social Mission, Dr. Rungrut Saeyang, the Assistant Dean for International Affairs, and Assistant Professor Dr. Laddawan Lertlerwong. During the meeting, they discussed research cooperation and teaching in agriculture and post-harvest technology. Additionally, the team visited the Southern Science Park, including a durian plantation for export and the production of Robusta coffee, aiming to enhance the quality of coffee.
