Miss Sirimaporn Charoennaiwongpao and Miss Sataporn Kulcha, 4th year student of Food Technology program, School of Agro-Industry, Mae Fah Luang University have joined exchange program under AIMS program, supported by Office of Higher Education Commission (OHEC) at University of Tsukuba, Japan, for one semester (April 2017-August 2017).
The students revealed that the experience of participating in such program making them learned about life planning (Time and financial management) and be more observant. However, the main thing that they get from exchanging is to develop English and Japanese skills. Even though, Japanese do not use English as a major language for communication but it is not an obstacle to living if we know how to adapt. And by this way, it allows them to learn Japanese culture and got more friends. Moreover, the students have learned the culture of ASEAN countries from various activities in the university.
The most impressive memory from joining in this program is helping and care they received from all international friends from the same program as well as Japanese friends. Most important help came from Sensei. Everybody took care of each other, helping each other in studying and living issues like a single family. After all, they have gained a lot of experiences from an exchange but the most important experience for them is a good friendship.
