During 9–11 February 2026, the School of Agro-Industry, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), in collaboration with the Research Group of Postharvest Technology, warmly welcomed faculty members and Master’s students from the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia, for an academic exchange visit.
The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Anis Shobirin binti Meor Hussin and coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Azira binti Abdul Mutalib. The group consisted of eight faculty members and thirteen graduate students. The visit aimed to promote knowledge sharing and academic collaboration, with a particular focus on food quality control and food safety management systems in Thailand and Malaysia.
The academic program featured lectures and discussions on national food regulatory frameworks and food safety systems. These sessions were delivered by TS. Dr. Rozzamri Ashari and Asst. Prof. Dr. Phunsiri Suthiluk, with active participation from third-year students of the Innovative Food Science and Technology program, fostering meaningful academic interaction between faculty members and students from both institutions.
In addition to academic activities, the delegation participated in several industrial study visits. These included Happy Plus Ice Cream by Soraya Printrakul, a banana-flour pasta workshop by World Grow led by Pitchapat Wanchai, pineapple cultivation and processing sites at Papa Pineapple Farm and Café, and Singha Park. The visits provided practical insights into food production, processing, and quality assurance practices within the agro-industry sector.
This exchange program successfully strengthened academic ties between MFU and UPM and reinforced international collaboration in food science and agro-industry. It also contributed to the development of global perspectives among students and faculty members, supporting MFU’s commitment to internationalization and academic excellence.
