Congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saroat Rawdkuen, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Phunsiri Suthiluk, received funding from the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, at MFU INNOVATION DAY 2023

Congratulations to Associate Professor Dr. Saroat Rawdkuen, the Dean of the School of Agro-Industry, and Assistant Professor Dr. Phunsiri Suthiluk, a Lecturer at the School of Agro-Industry. They have received funding from the Reinventing University System in 2022 for the project on the development of artificial ground meat from mushrooms and its application to replace meat in sausage products Health by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saroat Rawdkuen as the project leader, and the Development of high-protein mushroom chips with fiber supplement for health by Asst. Prof. Dr. Phunsiri Suthiluk is the project leader.

The funding was granted by the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation under the plan “Transforming Mae Fah Luang University with excellence in research in fungus”, to develop the body of knowledge towards further products including medical, medical and medical products, food and cosmetics and ready to expand into commercial. These achievements were showcased at MFU INNOVATION DAY 2023, held on November 16-17, 2023, at the E-Park Building, M-Square, Mae Fah Luang University.

During the event, the School of Agro-Industry participated in an exhibition, presenting research results and products from past research projects and research groups within the school, including:

  • Crunchy organic tilapia scales: Asst. Prof. Dr. Wirongrong Tongdeesoontorn, Head of IFB Research Center.
  • Phu Lae 100% pineapple juice cold-pressed with Himalayan salt: Asst. Prof. Dr. Sutthiwal Setha, Head of PHT Research Group.
  • Eco-friendly cushioning material from rubber for fruit transportation: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saowapa Chaiwong, Head of IATE Research Group
  • Smart Production and safety training set: Dr. Damrongpol Kamhangwong, Head of DTRAB Research Center.
