Agro-Industry Students Produce Hydroponic Salad and Sandwiches under the Course “Agri-Food Logistics”

First-year students from the School of Agro-Industry, Mae Fah Luang University, enrolled in the course Agri-Food Logistics (Agricultural and Food Logistics I), collaboratively produced mixed vegetable salads and sandwiches as value-added products from salad vegetables that they had cultivated from seeds using Hydroponic technology since August 2025.

When the vegetables reached optimal growth and quality suitable for consumption, the students carefully harvested them to ensure freshness and prevent bitterness. The harvested vegetables were then processed into mixed salads and sandwiches through a well-organized management system, with the students divided into production and sales teams.

Prior to the production day, the students prepared various tasks in advance, such as designing the “Agronics” brand sticker, preparing packaging, and opening pre-orders from customers within the university. On the production day, they harvested the fresh vegetables, transported them to the production room, cleaned, trimmed, sliced, wrapped, and packed them into clean and safe containers under hygienic conditions to maintain maximum freshness.

After completing the production, the sales team delivered the products to customers at various locations around Mae Fah Luang University and nearby areas punctually and efficiently.

This activity enabled students to develop important skills in critical thinking, planning, problem-solving, and teamwork, which are essential for their future professional careers in today’s dynamic working environment.
