The School of Agro-Industry extends its congratulations to a team of fourth-year students from the Postharvest Technology and Logistics Program, namely Mr. Bandar Sinsae, Ms. Pattaraporn Mueangtham, Mr. Paweengorn Pukka, and Mr. Pasut Srisuk, for bringing recognition and honor to the University through their participation in an invention and innovation competition in the fields of food and applied sciences. The team worked under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Rungarun Sasantanyati.
The student team received awards from the CNX Food and Applied Science Invention & Exhibition (CNX FINEX), which was held as part of the international academic conference The 8th International Conference on Food and Applied Bioscience 2026. The team earned a total of two awards: a Silver Medal for the project entitled “Paper Shabu Pot Made from Bacterial Cellulose” and a Bronze Medal for the project entitled “Paper Packaging to Delay Fruit Ripening Made from Bacterial Cellulose.”
The CNX FINEX event was organized by the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, and took place during 5–6 February 2026 at The Empress Hotel, Chiang Mai Province. The event aimed to provide a platform for academic knowledge exchange, the presentation of research and innovative works, and the enhancement of the potential of students, researchers, and academic staff from both national and international institutions.
These achievements reflect the students’ strong potential in integrating knowledge of postharvest technology, biomaterials, and environmentally friendly packaging innovations, as well as their ability to further develop academic knowledge into practical applications that align with the principles of sustainable development. This success represents another source of pride for the University and highlights the quality of education that emphasizes the development of knowledgeable, capable graduates who are well prepared to become a driving force in the advancement of society and the nation.
